Third Point launches activist campaign against CoStar

Third Point initiated its first major activist campaign in approximately three years, targeting CoStar Group. Third Point planned to nominate directors and pushed for changes including lower costs, changes to CEO compensation and a strategic review of CoStar's residential businesses, including Homes.com and Apartments.com.
