Third Point exits CoStar and abandons proxy fight

Third Point decided not to proceed with a proposed proxy fight at CoStar Group and fully exited its investment. The decision followed Third Point's assessment that its original investment thesis was no longer viable. The campaign had focused on reducing spending, improving capital allocation and refocusing CoStar on its core commercial real estate business.
