The Social Security Office (SSO) is a public pension and social security institution headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. Established in 1990 under the Ministry of Labour, the SSO administers Thailand's Social Security Fund (SSF) and Workmen's Compensation Fund, providing retirement, healthcare, unemployment, disability, maternity, and other social insurance benefits to insured workers. The organization manages one of Thailand's largest institutional investment portfolios, investing across domestic and international fixed income, equities, real estate, private market investments, and other approved asset classes to generate long-term returns that support the Fund's future benefit obligations while preserving capital and maintaining liquidity.
