Michigan Retirement Systems
Public Pension Fund · United States
Michigan Retirement Systems provides retirement, survivor and disability benefits through Michigan's public pension and associated other post-employment benefit plans. The State of Michigan Investment Board serves as investment fiduciary, while the Treasury Bureau of Investments manages defined-benefit assets on its behalf. Its investment divisions cover domestic and international equities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure and absolute-return strategies. The component systems cover public school employees, state employees, state police, judges and military retirement provisions. Defined-contribution investment options and other state trusts have separate oversight arrangements.
