Kohlberg announces final close of Fund IX
Kohlberg & Company →Kohlberg announced the final close of Kohlberg Investors IX, its ninth private equity fund. Its limited partners included public and corporate pension funds, financial institutions, endowments, family offices, sovereign wealth funds and funds of funds from the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The announcement said most investors from Fund VIII increased their commitments to Fund IX. Kohlberg described a middle-market investment approach focused on industrial manufacturing, consumer products, business services, healthcare services and financial services. The fund continued the firm's thematic White Paper investment approach. Lazard served as placement agent, and Ropes & Gray provided legal counsel for the fund formation.
