TCI opposes Airbus investment in Evidian
The Children's Investment Fund Management →TCI urged Airbus to end negotiations over a minority investment in Evidian, arguing that the transaction would divert capital and management attention from aircraft production. The letter was signed by Christopher Hohn for TCI Fund Management on behalf of The Children’s Investment Master Fund. An attached request dated 17 February sought discussion of the proposed transaction at Airbus’s annual general meeting. TCI questioned the strategic rationale, financing consequences and potential political considerations behind the proposal, and favoured alternative capital allocation. Its opposition was a shareholder intervention concerning Airbus’s proposed investment; it was not evidence that TCI purchased Evidian or that the proposed transaction had closed.
