InfraVia launches €2 billion Critical Metals Fund with French State backing
InfraVia Capital Partners →InfraVia announced plans for a Critical Metals Fund on 11 May 2023, targeting €2 billion and an initial 25-year term. The French State allocated €500 million through France 2030, with Caisse des Dépôts acting as operator for the State’s investment. InfraVia expected an initial €1 billion closing by the end of 2023; that statement was prospective and does not confirm a completed close. The strategy addresses supply security for French and European industries while investing internationally across extraction, processing and recycling. Lithium, nickel and cobalt were among the materials highlighted. Industrial participants and institutional investors were expected alongside public capital. Investments were intended to support electrification and the energy transition.
