InfraVia Critical Metals investment in Viscaria

InfraVia Capital Partners →

InfraVia announced approximately SEK 420 million of investment in Gruvaktiebolaget Viscaria for a 6.6% stake, as part of a SEK 2.4 billion capital increase. The 17 June 2026 release identifies this as the third investment of its Critical Metals strategy and states InfraVia would become the company’s second-largest shareholder. The Nasdaq Stockholm-listed company is developing the fully permitted Viscaria brownfield underground copper mine in Kiruna, northern Sweden. The project has existing underground infrastructure, rail access and available hydroelectric power. At full production, expected output is around 120,000 tonnes of concentrate containing approximately 26,000 tonnes of copper annually. Concentrate production was expected in 2028. An offtake memorandum with Aurubis was disclosed. Proceeds support construction and development rather than representing a purchase of the entire mine.
