Eni completes acquisition of CIC-backed Neptune Energy Group

Eni completed its acquisition of Neptune Energy Group Limited on 31 January 2024. Neptune's Norwegian business was acquired separately by Vår Energi, and German operations were carved out before closing. Eni's 23 June 2023 announcement identified CIC among Neptune's owners. No CIC proceeds or blanket exit from the excluded German business are asserted.
