PEP agrees sale of Zenith Energy stake to KKR
Pacific Equity Partners →PEP Secure Assets Fund I announced an agreement to sell all of its own Zenith Energy shares to KKR on 18 June 2025. This does not mean PEP owned 100% of Zenith: it invested alongside OPTrust and Foresight in August 2020, and KKR’s separate announcement stated that founder and management shareholders would retain a minority holding. Zenith supplies hybrid energy to remote resources customers and urban microgrids. PEP described expansion into solar, battery and wind technologies during its ownership and approximately 15 sites under long-term contracts. KKR reported over 710MW of contracted capacity and investment through Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors II. Completion was expected in late 2025 subject to approvals; an exact exit date and consideration were not established by these announcements.
