IFM outlines conditional C$10bn Canadian infrastructure investment ambition
IFM Investors →IFM stated on 5 March 2026 that appropriate policy settings could support up to a further C$10 billion of investment in Canada over the next decade. The announcement followed a memorandum of understanding signed in Sydney the previous day by Australian and Canadian pension funds and their investment organisations. IFM highlighted existing Canadian infrastructure investments alongside local pension funds, including Global Container Terminals in Vancouver and Enwave Energy. Enwave supplied district energy to municipalities, universities, hospitals, data centres and other customers across several Canadian cities. IFM had opened its Toronto office in late 2025 and served more than 200 Canadian institutional clients. The C$10 billion figure is a conditional investment intention, not completed deployment or a commitment by a named LP.
