Export Finance Australia backs IFM Southeast Asian private credit capabilities
IFM Investors →IFM and the Australian Government announced a partnership on 27 October 2025 to support investment and economic development in Southeast Asia. Announced at the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum in Kuala Lumpur, the arrangement provided A$175 million from Export Finance Australia for IFM's private credit capabilities. It used the Southeast Asia Investment Financing Facility and aligned with Australia's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. IFM intended to lend to growth businesses across industrials, manufacturing, services, energy and real assets. The partners sought to draw more Australian institutional capital into Asian financing opportunities. IFM also announced plans for a Singapore office, subsequently opened in September 2026.
