Louisiana LNG infrastructure minority acquisition

Stonepeak →

Woodside completed the sale of a 40% interest in Louisiana LNG Infrastructure to Stonepeak on 24 June 2025. Stonepeak committed $5.7 billion toward foundation-project capital expenditure on an accelerated schedule, funding 75% of expenditure in 2025 and 2026. The closing payment was approximately $1.9 billion, reflecting its share of costs since the effective date of 1 January 2025. These figures are different measures and should not be added together as a purchase price. The approved foundation development has three trains totaling 16.5 million tonnes annually. Bechtel is the turnkey construction contractor. The announcement confirms the April agreement closed; later reported RWE participation requires separate evidence before revising direct project ownership.
