Estia Health acquisition agreement
Stonepeak →Stonepeak announced a definitive agreement on 27 May 2026 to acquire a majority stake in Estia Health from Bain Capital. Axight Capital is the consortium partner and will hold a minority interest. This is the second investment for Volarae Living, Stonepeak's Australian and New Zealand social-infrastructure platform, following Aura Holdings. Estia operates more than 90 residential aged-care homes across four Australian states and cares for approximately 9,000 residents. The announced plan emphasizes continuity for residents and staff while investing in systems and workforce capability. Closing was expected late in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. Purchase price and exact buyer ownership percentages were not disclosed.
