Maryland board issues statement on fiduciary responsibility

Maryland's Board of Trustees stated that it had not adopted policies concerning investment in, or divestment from, Israel bonds or securities associated with Israel. The statement said investment decisions follow fiduciary duties to participants and beneficiaries and consider investment merits, diversification and risk.
