Z2 announces final close of inaugural SBIC fund

Z2 announced the final close of Z2 SBIC I, LP, reporting $300 million of total capital. The fund had received an SBA license and begun investing. Its mandate centers on senior secured debt and minority equity for U.S. lower middle market businesses. Disclosed investor categories include banks, insurers, funds of funds, endowments, family offices and RIAs; no individual LP commitment amounts are provided.
