Alterna Equity Partners closes inaugural Fund I

Alterna Equity Partners announced the closing of its inaugural private equity fund on May 31, 2024. Fund I focuses on majority investments in founder- and family-owned lower middle-market companies. Its disclosed sectors include business services, industrials, healthcare services, technology, transportation and logistics, and financial services, with a U.S. mandate emphasizing the South and Southeast. The release identifies institutions, family offices and individuals as limited-partner categories without naming individual investors. Mod Op and Bulk Express were the first two platform investments. Greenberg Traurig served as legal counsel. The announcement does not disclose final committed capital, returns, fees or carry.
