Former Dr. Comfort CEO sentenced in individual mail-fraud case

DOJ reported Rickey Kanter’s sentence of one year and one day and a $50,000 fine for mail fraud. It said he sold his interest and paid $27 million to resolve civil claims; the business under separate ownership entered a five-year corporate integrity agreement. This concerns the former portfolio-company CEO, not a conviction or fine against Merit.
