OPTrust increases Sen̓áḵw Phases One and Two ownership to 50%

The Squamish Nation, Nch’ḵay̓ Development Corporation and OPTrust announced a restructuring of the Sen̓áḵw development partnership on August 28, 2025. OPTrust acquired Westbank’s interest in Phases One and Two, increasing its ownership in those phases to fifty per cent. The Nation retained the remaining fifty per cent and stated that it would own all of future Phases Three and Four. Phase One’s three towers had reached their full heights, with more than 1,400 homes expected to open in 2026. Nch’ḵay̓ was to increase oversight of construction and development. The announcement identified CMHC and Peak Construction as continuing project partners. No transaction consideration was disclosed.
