Aon MasterTrust adds Tumelo investment-transparency and voting tools
Aon Investments →Aon announced on March 9, 2022 that its UK MasterTrust was working with financial-technology provider Tumelo. Members could use the pension website to identify companies held through the default investment funds and learn about environmental, social and governance matters. Tumelo’s tools also allowed members to view forthcoming shareholder votes and express preferences. The software aggregated those preferences, communicated them to fund managers ahead of company meetings and reported results to members. Aon described the partnership as a way to improve investment understanding and engagement. Member preferences did not constitute direct ownership of the underlying shares by Aon Investments, and the release disclosed no investment amount or acquisition of Tumelo.
