University of Exeter retirement scheme extends Aon remit to investment advice
Aon Investments →Aon announced on August 10, 2020 that it had become investment adviser to the trustee of the University of Exeter Retirement Benefits Scheme. This was a closed defined-benefit pension scheme for non-academic employees, not the university’s endowment. The release described approximately £140 million of assets and more than 3,000 deferred and pensioner members. Aon had held the actuarial appointment since 1999. The trustee extended its remit to integrate investment and actuarial advice as the scheme pursued long-term objectives. Charlie Iversen was named lead investment adviser for the appointment. The announcement did not identify an investment in Aon funds, a fee amount or any transfer of asset ownership.
