W.R. Swann retirement scheme delegates investment management to Aon
Aon Investments →Aon announced a fiduciary-management appointment from the W.R. Swann & Co Limited Retirement Benefits Scheme on May 26, 2021. The £40 million scheme selected Aon following a competitive tender and an investment review seeking lower risk and costs. The trustees retained responsibility for strategic direction while delegating daily investment decisions. According to the trustee chair, assets transitioned within two months after the parties agreed to work together, and the scheme subsequently met two de-risking triggers earlier than planned. Aon had previously served the scheme in other capacities. W.R. Swann forms part of Sheffield surgical-instrument manufacturer Swann Morton. The mandate was a pension-management service, not an acquisition of that company.
