JICA signs subscription to GIP-managed Emerging Asia Infrastructure Credit Fund

JICA announced a subscription agreement signed on September 28, 2026 for the Emerging Asia Infrastructure Credit Fund SCSp, managed through Global Infrastructure Partners, part of BlackRock. JICA stated a commitment ceiling of USD65 million, comprising up to USD25 million in a catalytic tranche and up to USD40 million in a senior tranche. The fund finances infrastructure and decarbonization in South and Southeast Asia. The investment was announced at the October 8 Japan–ASEAN forum; JICA published its release on October 9.
