SoftBank Group to Acquire Ampere Computing

SoftBank Group agreed to acquire Ampere Computing for $6.5 billion in cash. Carlyle and Oracle agreed to sell their positions. The announcement anticipated closing in the second half of 2025, subject to regulatory and customary conditions. The whole-company purchase price is not Carlyle’s proceeds.
