Fortitude Re and Carlyle Establish FCA Re with Over $700 Million of Capital to Drive Continued Growth in Asia

Fortitude Re and Carlyle launched Bermuda reinsurance sidecar Fortitude Carlyle Asia Reinsurance. More than $700 million of deployable capital included equity and expected debt capacity. Carlyle, Fortitude Re and institutional partners committed equity, with individual tickets undisclosed. Carlyle is asset-management sponsor; projected future fee-earning AUM is not current AUM.
