Global Payments acquisition of Worldpay

Global Payments agreed to acquire Worldpay from GTCR, FIS and other holders at USD 24.25 billion enterprise value and completed the acquisition January 9, 2026. Wells Fargo advised Worldpay. The announced USD 22.7 billion net purchase price reflected tax assets and differs from enterprise value. Global Payments’ concurrent USD 13.5 billion Issuer Solutions divestiture to FIS was a separate transaction. The amount records Worldpay enterprise value only.
