GIP, part of BlackRock, announced an agreement to acquire 49.99% of Eni CCUS Holding on August 18, 2025. Eni confirmed completion December 18, 2025, with the company jointly controlled by Eni and GIP. The platform contains carbon-capture and storage projects in the UK and Netherlands. No acquisition price was disclosed in the inspected releases.
