Amcor acquisition of Berry Global

Amcor agreed to combine with Berry Global at 7.25 Amcor shares for each Berry share and completed the acquisition April 30, 2025. Wells Fargo advised Berry. Amcor’s fiscal 2026 annual report records USD 10,397 million acquisition-accounting purchase consideration and separately identifies USD 5.2 billion assumed debt excluded from that consideration. The recorded amount is that purchase-consideration measure; Wells Fargo’s USD 15 billion featured-deal headline has a different basis.
